In order to enable the alignment of the taught curriculum with the written curriculum, the shall identify clearly defined standards for the District’s staff. These standards are referred to as “Indicators of Effective Teaching and Learning” and are included in the Millard Instructional Model. The five domains of the Millard Instructional Model are:

II. Instruction
III. Assessment
IV. Learning Environment
V. Professionalism
The “Indicators of Effective Teaching and Learning” of the Millard Instructional Model have been incorporated into the teacher evaluation process and used by administrators, in conjunction with curriculum frameworks and guides, to monitor the taught curriculum.
